Cost of Living:

In 2024 Texas is 18% cheaper for restaurants, 16% cheaper for groceries, 21% cheaper for transportation, and 22% cheaper for housing. Texas having no income tax and relatively low overall taxation, Texas is one of the leading states for relocation. Texas has large areas or rural land for continued growth to excite any home buyer who wishes to persue a city or country lifestyle.

Job Market:

The DFW area is luring to corporations and individuals because Texas does not have a state income tax. Corporations receive tax insentives to build or relocate to Austin, Houston, Dallas, or Fort Worth especially for tech companies. With the increase in population and skill sets in the job market, Texas has become a hot market which includes IT related work

Population:

Since 2020 Texas has experienced huge growth in population due to reloactions from New York, Illnois (Chicago), California and lastly Mexico. Due to a shortage in housing, and inflaction, home values have increase although interest rates have also increased to 7%. Although the US may see a decline in demand for the US overall in 2024, the DFW does not appear to align with this analysis.
